Online gaming operator, Betway, has announced its new commercial partnership with Surrey, the English country cricket club. Betway Enters New commercial Partnership with Surrey
According to the terms of that new deal, Betway’s branding will now be featured on the team’s Blast shirts. It will also be featured on different surfaces within the Kia Oval home stadium of the team. That includes both international and domestic cricket matches.
Betway already has plenty of sponsorship and partnership deals with different cricket organizations and properties. These deals include Cricket West Indies, Cricket South Africa, and Kevin Pietersen, the former Surrey club star.
UK Gambling Operators Comments on the New Partnership
Anthony Werkman, the chief executive of Betway, stated that they are very happy to announce their new partnership with Surrey Cricket Club. Betway is planning to go public in the soon future. Its parent company, Super Group, has agreed to merge with Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp in a deal estimated at $4.75bn. That deal with the special purpose acquisition business will enable it to get listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Relax Gaming Approved to Enter the UK Online Gambling Market
iGaming aggregator and content supplier Relax Gaming Gibraltar Ltd announced that it had been approved to get a license by the UKGC. Such approval will make the online casino gaming selection of Relax Gaming available to UK Online Gambling operators. That will be through its Gibraltar arm. The supplier stated that it has already finished transferring operator partners 32Red, BetVictor, and Boylesports to its Gibraltar network. They also transferred Entain’s United Kingdom brands, Coral, Gala Bingo, and Ladbrokes.
Relax Gaming added that the expansion into the UK Online Gambling market comes as they are continuing to enhance their position in other regulated markets worldwide, including the Nordics. TommiMaijala, the Chief Executive of Relax Gaming, said following a great relationship with the UKGC through their Maltese company, having a license for the services of their Gibraltar branch is a great success and a major commercial highlight. The supplier received its Gibraltar license back in October of 2020. It allowed it to expand further the number of partners it can work with. In February, Relax stated that it is targeting an expansion in the UK. That license is an excellent proof of success.
