Craig Eddie is officially the winner of the popular talent show, The Voice UK 2021. The Scottish native was able to defeat Grace Holden in the final round of the show. That came after Hanna Williams and James Okulaja got eliminated earlier. All of the UK watched as the show was announcing the winner as he faced away from the camera and covered his face in anticipation of the announcement.
Craig Eddie – Mentored by Annie Marrie – Stuns Everyone
The Scottish singer went on record and stated that he is still very shocked. He also thanked everyone who voted for him and for all of his people in Scotland. He thanked everyone who supported him in his long journey to success on The Voice UK. The Scottish singer was able to “wow” and impress the judges with his performance of an original song. He sang a song he called “Come Waste My Time.” The contender was mentored by Annie-Marie; which was her first time on the singing competition program. She is replacing Meghan Trainor.
She joined the coaching panel with Will.i.am, Olly Murs and Sir Tom Jones. During the finale of The Voice UK 2021, each mentor performed a song with the singer they are coaching. Eddie and Anne-Marie performed a rendition of No Doubt's Don't Speak. Anne-Marie previously stated that she is determined to stop the winning streak of Olly Murs. Olly Murs was able to score two victories with singers he coached on the show; and this would have been the “Hat-Trick.” It seems that Anne-Marie is very competitive as she said that that was her goal in life, and she is not going to be able to sleep until she achieves it.
Eddie said that it felt strange he couldn't hug his mentor, but he is glad to have given her a victory on her first time on the voice. He added that it was undoubtedly added pressure, that both he and Marie wanted the victory so bad. In the end, he was able to pull it off with his amazing performance, that gained the approval of everyone.
will.i.am's Reaction in the Voice UK 2021 Season Finale?
Once the host started talking to The Voice UK 2021 Champion Craig and the runner-up, Grace, will.i.am picked up his phone. It seems that he was unaware that the camera was still aimed at him. The Twitter fans did not take that lightly. Many commented on their surprise and the action of will.i.am. Some wondered why is he on his phone “playing candy crush” while some lad's dream just came true. Others joked, saying that he is ordering an Uber to get back home. On the other hand, many of the fans of the American singer know that he liked to document and share everything that happens to the social media world. So it is most likely not a matter of being uninterested. It might be that he was eager to share the event with all of his fans on twitter and other social media platforms
