Director Zach Snyder Explained the Ending to His Film Justice League

Everyone is talking about the ending to Jack Snyder's film, Justice League, given the introduction of several new storylines and even characters in the film's final moments. Generally, films of this type give viewers a moment to remember their favorite characters by featuring them for the briefest of moments, and Justice League is sure to do this in addition to so much more.

Snyder gives fans so much more, and something to look forward to, by granting viewers a glimpse into the future of beloved characters. He doesn't stop there though, in addition to the new storylines, Snyder takes the opportunity to introduce even more characters into the ending of Justice League. All of these revelations and multiple endings lead everyone to believe there was definitely more intended for release in the future.

So what did all the revelations in the film's ending mean?

With Batman's identity being revealed there is a lot of potential for any sequel to feature a battle between Batman and Deathstroke. In addition to this revelation and potential battle to unfold, there is also the suggestion to form another league, made up of villains. All of this has the makings of a sequel or even spinoff films that can delve into two or even more storylines.

All the villains that have survived the end of the film lead us to believe there is a lot of room for spinoff battles and entire films based around the remaining characters. Snyder left Joker, Deathstroke and even introduced the possibility of Darkseid's influence over the world. Given the length of the film, these storylines could not be fleshed out more, but Snyder hinted that he just could not bring himself to end their story's when they had not had their ultimate battles.

Snyder did not leave us with an ending filled with the survival and introduction of villains but also introduced a new hero in the form of Martian Manhunter. Justice League's Bruce has a lot of catching up to do and Martian Manhunter is the one to bring him up to speed in what appears to be a post-apocalyptic world where Darkseid is the newest threat.
